FAQs
Are there wheelchair accessible seats with spaces for aides?
Yes. There are dedicated wheelchair spots in the Eric Brown Theater. Please notify us in advance, if possible, so we may reserve the space for you if needed. The Taub Auditorium does not have fixed seating and is completely wheelchair accessible.
Do Thurnauer students pay for tickets?
Most Thurnauer concerts are free, with the exception of performances by the Thurnauer Chamber Music Series, faculty recitals, the SHIRAH Choir, and the annual Gift of Music Gala Benefit Concert. Currently enrolled Thurnauer students are always invited free-of-charge for the Thurnauer Chamber Music Series concerts and the faculty recitals. We just ask that families reserve those student tickets in advance in the school office.
Can I bring a child to a concert?
We love having children attend concerts! As a courtesy to others in attendance, if you have a child who may have challenges sitting quietly during a performance, please sit towards the rear of the theater, near an aisle, and quietly exit if necessary.
May I drink, eat, or use my phone during a concert?
We want you and all of the audience members to be able to enjoy hearing wonderful music, without distractions – so we ask that guests do not bring food or drink into a concert and avoid using mobile phones for texting or scrolling during a performance.
