Senior Center Plus (formerly Friendly Neighbors) was established in 1951 in Englewood at the first Jewish Community Center site. This program contains a diverse group of seniors who enjoy a wide range of activities designed to interest and stimulate. Come to meet new people, exercise, listen to an interesting lecture and eat a hot Kosher lunch.

Why Is It Called Senior Center "Plus"?
This program contains the elements of a traditional senior center but it is much, much more. It is really a club. Members function as a community. They come weekly for 1, 2 or 3 days and they allow staff to guide them through a full day of programming. This program also allows people who would normally be homebound or unable to participate because of physical frailty to get out and enjoy themselves and to be with their peers.
