Special Activities:

 

Parents’ activates within the framework of school:

 

1.       Tu B’SHEVAT Seder - Parents and older siblings are welcome to attend Tu B'Shvat Seder during regular class time (the week of 2/3/15). Meanwhile, the younger siblings (ages 3 and up) are welcome to join Tu B'Shvat activity in “EMEK IVRIT”.

 

Activates for the school community (students, parents and siblings):

 

1.       “Hello First Grade – Apple Dipped in Honey“, Beginning of the year ceremony and welcoming the Holiday- Tuesday, 9/23/14.

2.        “Oshpizin in Emek”- building miniature Sukkot and dinner in the Sukkah- Tuesday 10/14/14.

Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade: 4:00- 5:30PM        Third Grade- Fifth Grade: 5:45-7:15PM                  Six Grade- Ninth Grade: 7:30-9:00PM.

3.       “Festival of Lights”, Lighting the First candle of Hanukkah- Tuesday, 12/16/14.

4.       “Achashverosh’s Feast”- A one hour activity for the students and their families (exchanging “Mishloach Manot” and a family costume contest) before the JCC Purim Carnival- Sunday, 3/8/15.

5.       Graduation Party – Sunday, 6/14/15.

 

 

Activates for the whole community:

 

1.       Book exchange event at the JCC, a stand of Hebrew books and story telling with an activity related to the story for ages kindergarten, First Grade- Third Grade, Forth Grade and up- Sunday, 10/26/14 (Free story telling for the school students).

2.       Mitzvah Day at the JCC, community service activity, school stand for collecting and preparing food packages for the underprivileged- Sunday, 11/16/14.

3.       The Israeli Center Hanukkah Show – Sunday, 12/14/15 (free for school students)

4.       JCC Purim Carnival- Sunday, 3/8/15 (Sixth grade students will plan, organize, and operate an “Israeli stand”

5.       The Israeli Center celebrates Israel’s Independence Day- Sunday, 4/26/15 (free for school students)
