Enjoy reading humorous and thought-provoking plays written by contemporary and classical playwrights. Instructor provides scripts with background on the playwrights and plays. No preparation necessary. Explore a new play every two weeks! This class also offers an optional visit to a Broadway show.
Enhance your stage presence and increase your comfort level when singing in front of an audience. Students will focus on storytelling through song, explore lyric interpretation, and discover how to forge an honest connect to lyrics. Beginners or those looking to further develop their craft with specific material are all welcome. This class also offers an optional visit to a Broadway show.
Teacher: Jenna Mate is a director and teaching artist who has worked extensively in Los Angeles and The Hamptons. She holds an MFA in Directing from Stony Brook University, and an MA in Educational Theater from University of Houston, where she had the opportunity to study with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.
