Programs:
Half Day: 9 am-12:30 pm
Three Quarter Day: 9 am-2 pm
Full Day: 9 am-3:45 pm

Kadima campers thrive in a nurturing, enthusiastic, supportive and structured environment. Special attention is given to the social growth, emotional development and physical needs of each individual camper. Campers are home-based in air-conditioned rooms, with many activities taking place outdoors. Campers are divided by age and friendships. Each group is supervised by a minimum of three counselors: a certified educator and a mix of college students and high school upperclassman.

Half Day Campers swim daily. They participate in all activities, except ceramics and ropes. Half day campers stay through lunch.

Three quarter day campers swim every day and go to the splash park at least three times a week. They attend sports twice and participate in all other activities, except ceramics and ropes.

Full day campers swim and visit the splash park daily. They attend sports twice and participate in all other activities, except ropes. The 3-year-old campers get a double rest (approximately one hour). 4-year-old campers get a 40-minute rest.

NKDC offers children with special needs the opportunity to enjoy a fully inclusive camp experience depending on availability. Click here for more information or call the camp office to schedule an interview.

Gedolim
For children entering Kindergarten-2nd Grade

Campers enjoy a wide range of activities in a Jewish environment that encourages independence and growth. Camp activities take place both outdoors and indoors. Special emphasis is placed on development of social skills, self-esteem, and sportsmanship. Groups are single sex and coed, supervised by two or three staff members: college students and high school upperclassmen. Specialties are led by professionals with the assistance of group counselors. Exciting theme days highlight each week with special activities, entertainment and ruach (spirit).

We feel strongly that campers entering 1st grade should have a chance to make some of their own decisions. Each day, campers entering grade 1 participate in “Choice-O-Rama,” when they get to choose a regular camp activity they want to participate in more than once a week.

Campers entering 2nd grade enjoy unique programming which reflects their developmental needs and abilities, including more challenging opportunities and adventures such as “majoring” in a special discipline for a two-week period, off-site trips and late nights. Majors are activities that are not part of our regular NKDC activities, such as engineering, scrapbooking, golf, magic and more.
