All parents with children enrolled in our school are welcome to join the ECC Parent Association! Your participation is a great way to support the school, your children, find out what is happening around the ECC, and meet other parents and staff. We are excited for the year ahead and look forward to several new fun parent social events.
As part of our school family we are motivated to share our ❤ for the school, its teachers and invest in our children’s future. Everything we do is based on volunteers. Whether you have 30 minutes or a few hours, your ideas, time and talents are truly needed and appreciated. We encourage all our parents to please get involved.
My name is Stephanie Cohn. I am currently one of the Co-Presidents of the ECC Parent Association. I live in Tenafly with my husband and four children, ranging from 3 to 11 years old. I have been an active member of the JCC for 10 years, starting when my oldest son was in the transitional 2’s. My three oldest children have already graduated from the JCC Early Childhood Center. My youngest daughter, Rachel, is currently in the 3’s. My husband Dan and I are very involved in many areas of the JCC. Dan is on the JCC Board and chairs the annual Playfore the Kids golf outing. I enjoy painting, photography and long-distance running. Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my extended family who also live nearby.
I’m Jenna Gutmann, and I am one of the Co-Presidents of the ECC Parent Association. After moving to Tenafly in 2014, my husband, Sam and I joined the JCC and enrolled our son, Brian (7) in the Early Childhood Center. Our daughter, Charlie (4), is in the 4’s this year, and we have been so lucky that as a family, we have all made amazing friends and found a great community at the JCC! I play tennis, love to cook and bake, and our family loves to travel. We’re so happy we are having another amazing school year!/p>
Hi, I’m Ariel Jacobs. I am currently the Co-Vice President of the Parent Association. I live in Demarest with my husband and two boys. My older son, Hunter, went through the JCC Early Childhood Center from transitional 2s through pre-k. My son Noah who also started in transitional 2s, is currently in the 3s. A fun fact about me is that I also went to the JCC Early Childhood Center as a child and so did my husband! I am so excited to be on the Parent Association Executive Board this year and look forward to a successful, albeit different, year.
Hi, my name is Bari Shore and I am the Co-Vice President for the ECC Parent Association. My husband Howie and sons Brandon (5) and Dean (3) live in Demarest NJ. We have been in Bergen county for the last 3 years and my son Brandon graduated from the JCC last year while Dean is currently in the 2’s. We cannot speak enough about how much we have enjoyed the JCC community and our experience here! When I am not at the JCC, I work full time managing a design and production team for a sweater company and love to spend my weekends catching up with family and friends. Even though this year might be different, I look forward to another great year of school at the JCC!
My name is Jacqueline Pollack, and I am currently the Co-Secretary of the ECC Parent Association. I have been an active member of the JCC since moving to Tenafly 3 years ago with my husband Jake and our 2 young children. Our daughter Isla (4) and our son James (2) both attend the Early Childhood Center at the JCC, and it has quickly become a home away from home for our family. Additionally, I work part-time in a private practice as a Registered Dietitian helping others to be and feel their best. I love meeting new families, so please don’t hesitate to say hello! Looking forward to another successful school year at the J!
My name is Jillian Somberg, and I am currently the Co-Secretary for the ECC Parent Association. My husband Adam and I live in Tenafly with our four children. All of our children have graduated from the Early Childhood Center except our youngest daughter who is currently enrolled in the 3s. Having grown up in the area, I have always been a member of the JCC and that is why the JCC has a special place in our hearts. The JCC has provided our family with lifelong friendships, Jewish involvement, a great education, and strong community ties. I’m excited to be a part of another fantastic school year!
