Announcing the JCC's New COVID-19 Mask Rules
Based on CDC recommendations Governor Murphy relaxed NJ’s COVID-19 mask wearing and travel restriction guidelines.

*As of Friday, May 28, all Kaplen JCC members who are fully vaccinated will no longer be required to wear a mask indoors or outdoors. Additionally, those who travel domestically do not need to quarantine and international travelers must follow the CDC guidelines associated with their destination.

*The Kaplen JCC supports diverse constituencies. Operating guidelines for programs like camp, early childhood and special services are mandated by State agencies and mask-wearing guidelines are not changing for these groups. Adults and children in these programs will continue to wear masks.

*To respect all in our building, we require all who enter to come masked and to remain masked in non-program specific locations (i.e., hallways). The screening protocols upon entering the building will remain the same (temp check and proof of vaccination or temp check and screening questions) and staff will continue to wear masks.

*For newly vaccinated members, please remember to bring your vaccination card to the JCC and the fitness team staff will update your account on the JCCOTP App to reflect your new status.

*In addition, the new guidelines allow locker rooms for changing and showering (saunas and steam rooms are not available). In accordance, indoor lockers and showers will be available starting June 15. Outdoor showers and locker rooms are available for the outdoor pools starting Sunday, May 30. Outdoor and indoor pool reservations are live on the JCCOTP app. Please check frequently as we are constantly adding additional capacity.

*In addition, if you are currently unvaccinated, you need to continue to be masked the entire time you spend at the JCC in all circumstances.
