Sarah Gottesman Lubin Program for Creative Arts & Crafts
Sarah Gottesman Lubin was an avid crafter who especially enjoyed the soft arts of quilting and needlepoint. She was an active member of the Pomegranate Guild. After her passing the Sarah Gottesman Lubin Program for Creative Arts and Crafts was established in her memory at the JCC so that others could explore and enjoy the exciting world of crafts and culture. This endowment provides opportunities for people to experience the sheer love and joy of creating something of beauty with their own hands.

Learn to knit/crochet or work on advanced projects with guidance from our expert instructor, Ruthie. Bring your own supplies and project to work on. This class accommodates both beginner and advanced knitters looking to improve their skill set. Ruthie is an experienced knitting instructor and published knitwear designer. Her designs have been published in Interweave Knits, Knit Simple, and Knitty. She is passionate about helping knitters expand their skills and created projects that they will use and enjoy. Morning Memoirs (Hybrid)

This workshop focuses on personal writing—tapping into memory to write your own story. You will improve writing skills, gain confidence in your voice, and perhaps find healing through writing. You will be provided with homework prompts and respond with memoir—a piece about your life. Each student’s piece will be thoughtfully discussed. Classes will be conducted via Zoom.
