Seniors

Social Adult Day Program

Ages75+

The Kaplen Adult Reach Center provides programming that is designed to meet the special needs of older adults who are living with Alzheimer's disease and related forms of dementia. Our mission is to enhance the daily lives of our participants and to provide support and needed respite for their caregivers.

This program prides itself as being a home away from home for their participants. In a warm, supportive, family-like setting, attendees enjoy programs set up in a Montessori style, which focuses on using and strengthening a participant’s individual abilities and skills.

Participants take on various responsibilities during activities, which increase self-esteem and give each member increased control over their day.

Activities are held in a bright, spacious room with an adjoining patio and garden overlooking the children’s playground.

It is a huge relief to know that my husband is being well taken care of while I am at work, instead of him staring at the television all day.

This is my safe place. They understand what I am going through with my dad. I cant imagine this journey without the JCC support.

We have seen a huge difference in my mother since she has been attending the program – she’s more engaged with people and life.
